First Words Sampler App Reviews

My 3 yr old really likes this game. Which the free version had more words, but it definately makes me want to buy the full game.

Kids like it. Good for teaching sight words, but I wish there was an option to hear letter sounds rather than names. We use a phonics approach and it would be nice to have words sounded out.

My daughter is almost 3, she loves this application. Weve tried a few and shes not that intereted but this one is so interactive and easy to use for kids this age. Love it!

My little sister loves this game alot but i wish it said the word first so she could sound it out before she put the letters in order

My almost 2 year old daughter loved it so much I bought the full version. Well worth it!

But..... I bought the full version but it wouldnt update it.....

They arent kidding when they say "If your child is old enough to ask for your phone, they are old enough for FirstWords: Sampler". My kids started playing this game at 3 years old, and a year later they STILL love playing. I just bought the next version so they could have some new words. I dont think they will be getting tired of this game any time soon, and I love that they are practicing their letters, learning simple words, and having fun all at once. Its one of the best toddler games Ive found.

My 1 and a half year old got a hold of our iPad that has this game on it and she actually figured out how to use It. Very simple and great tool for children to recognize letters and sounds.

Obviously written by people who know a lot about child development and motivation.

I have had this app for several months and my kids are still using it. I am now upgrading to the full version to keep the interest going!

Simple spelling, easy to drag letters into spaces and complete words

My 1 year old LOVES THIS! And her older siblings who are learning to read love this too! Even my 11 year old likes to sit with his little sister and play this game. Haha. I got first words animals and I wish I would have just got splurged and got first words pro. I didnt realize there was so many first words. I also have bob books apps and my kids love those too!

So my sister is a manny, and said to get this app. My Son loves it, he is starting to say the shapes.

It would be great if it had two levels. The second level would only let them put the letters in order.
